Motorcyclist Seriously Injured Wednesday Night in Ogden Avenue Accident

A Glen Ellyn man driving a Ford Excursion was cited for failing to yield.

A woman riding a motorcycle was seriously injured Wednesday night after the driver of a Ford Excursion entered her lane of traffic, causing the motorcycle to hit the SUV.

The woman, who was driving a 2002 Honda CBR motorcycle, was heading east on Ogden Avenue near Wisconsin Street at about 7:20 p.m. when said the driver of the Ford Excursion began exiting a private drive in the 900 block of Ogden Avenue.

The motorcyclist hit the left front corner of the Ford Excursion as it came into her lane of traffic, police said.

The driver of the Ford Excursion, James M. Sisson, 52, of Glen Ellyn, was cited for failing to yield from a private drive, according to Naperville Police. Sisson was able to drive his vehicle from the scene after the accident.

The woman was seriously injured in the accident and was taken by the to , police said. Sisson was uninjured.
