Motorcyclist Busted Speeding 111 MPH on Route 59

Bradley J. Smith was arrested and charged Sunday morning.

A motorcyclist caught Sunday morning driving 111 mph was arrested and charged with speeding more than 40 mph over the limit, according to Naperville Police.

, 26, of the 2900 block of Coastal Drive, Aurora, was spotted at about 7:23 a.m. driving at an excessive speed heading north on Route 59 near 95th Street, the Naperville Police said in a news release.

Smith was driving a purple 2009 Yamaha when an officer clocked him on radar traveling 111 mph in 45 mph zone, according to the release. The officer responded and stopped Smith at Route 59 and 95th Street.

He was arrested and charged with speeding more than 40 mph over the posted speed limit, a class A Misdemeanor, police said. Smith was released on bond.
