Missing Naperville Teen Traced to Colorado

Parents tell the Denver Post Chris Carpenter was tracked through social media and an ATM transaction.

Parents of a Naperville teen who went missing last Monday said they have tracked him to Colorado.

The Denver Post is reporting that Chris Carpenter’s parents were able to use social media and a transaction at an ATM to trace his whereabouts. They said the teen had been despondent before he went missing.

Carpenter was reported missing last week after his father dropped him off at school on Aug. 22 and later learned he never arrived in class.

His parents said they found a note Chris left alluding to the fact that he may run away and commit suicide, according to the Denver Post.
