Minor With Alcohol, Endangering a Child: Police Blotter

Naperville Police Department reports, July 10

Wednesday, July 10

Possession of liquor by a minor

Royce William Gutzke, 20, of Montgomery, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. near Ring and Knoch Knolls roads, police said. He was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. He posted bond.

Disorderly conduct

John J. McGarry, 22, of Custer Park, was arrested at 3:40 a.m.  on the 300 block of North Ellsworth Street, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct. McGarry caused a scene at a home and then on the roadway, according to police. He posted bond.

Suspended/revoked license

  • Reginald Edward Cowles, 28, of Plainfield, was arrested at 7:22 a.m. near I-88 and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail and later released. 
  • Jennifer Guzman, 19, of Orland Park, was arrested at 5:46 p.m. near Mill Street and West Ogden Avenue, police said. She was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. She posted bond. 

Endangering the health or life of a child

Jessie Julius March, 22, of Plainfield, was arrested at 6:07 p.m.  on the 700 block of Fort Hill Drive, police said. He was charged endangering the health or life or a child. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail and later released.

Rent payment stolen

A $910 money order for a rent payment was stolen on the 700 block of Benedetti Drive. The incident occurred sometime between June 30 and July 5, according to police. The order's recipient was changed and the money order was cashed at an unknown location.

Car crash

A two-car crash occurred at 1:15 p.m. at southbound Route 59 and Ogden Avenue. One car struck another in the rear bumper, according to police. 

Ali vs. Frazier pic taken

Someone entered a home on the 400 block of Village Green Road and took an autographed picture of Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier. The incident occurred sometime between March 25 and June 5, according to police.

Improper backing

One car backed into another at 2:33 p.m. at Route 59 and Gowdey Road, police said.

You owe me

A dispute between money owed and return of property was reported at 5:02 p.m. on the 3300 block of Rosecroft Lane.

Mailbox bumped off

A mailbox was knocked off its post and the post was damaged on the 2100 block of Hidden Valley Drive. The incident occurred sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.

Operating an uninsured vehicle

A woman was charged at 5:44 p.m. with operating an uninsured vehicle at Bailey and Modaff roads.
