Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Naperville

The crash occurred at Ogden Avenue and Iroquois Drive at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday.

A 66-year-old Minnesota man has died from injuries sustained during a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon in Naperville. 

Frederick M. Wendt, of Andover, Minn., was taken to Edward Hospital following the crash at 12:55 p.m. where he was treated for his critical injuries but later died, according to a Naperville Police Department press release. 

A passenger on his motorcycle, Alice F. Wendt, 66, also of Andover, Minn., was taken to Edward Hospital where she was treated and held for observation.

Police said an initial investigation found the crash occurred when a 2015 Subaru Forester SUV traveling east on Ogden Avenue made a left turn at Iroquois Drive in front of the motorcycle, which was westbound on Ogden, according to the news release. 

The motorcycle driver became pinned between the SUV and motorcycle and the female passenger on the motorcycle was found pinned underneath the SUV.

The driver of the SUV is Jeffrey Ka Ho Ng, 18, of Aurora. 

The crash remains under investigation.
