UPDATE: Northwestern Illinois Man Charged With Child Pornography

Naperville Police Department charged a 26-year-old Fulton man with two counts of child pornography and unlawful solicitation to meet a child.

A northwestern Illinois man was charged with unlawful solicitation to meet a child — 5 years or older and child pornography, according to Naperville Police Department reports. 

Brian Charles Dyke, 26, of the 800 block of 4th Street in Fulton, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. Tuesday, police said. He was arrested in the 400 block of North Cherry Street in Morrison. 

Police charged Dyke with two counts of grooming, two counts of child pornography - photo and unlawful solicitation to meet a child – 5 years or older, according to booking information from the DuPage County Sheriff.

Police gathered approximately 20 images of child pornography involving two victims from the alleged offender’s property upon his arrest on March 22, according to a news release the Naperville Police Department issued Thursday afternoon.

Naperville police originally received a report regarding a suspicious incident involving a child on March 6, according to the news release. Officers later learned that a man befriended a young girl while playing an online video game.

Additional investigation showed the man "had engaged in 'sexting' (transmission of nude photos of himself) to the minor child," according to the news release.

The department's High Technology Crimes Unit handled the investigation from that point, leading to search warrants and subpoenas of Dyke at his residence and his property, the news release said.

Dyke is being held on $350,000 bail at the DuPage County Jail, according to the DuPage County Sheriff’s records.
