Late-Night Fire Causes $375,000 in Damage to Naperville Home

No injuries were reported after crews from the Naperville Fire Department battled a house fire for 45 minutes on Sunday.

A late-night fire caused $375,000 in damage to a home at 220 Willoway Drive in Naperville Sunday, according to the Naperville Fire Department.

No one was injured in the fire, which crews brought under control within 45 minutes. The blaze consumed the entire roof, attic and back of the home when the first units arrived to the scene at 12:06 a.m. after Naperville’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) received numerous calls from residents at 12:01 a.m. 

The fire also extended into the first and second floors of the house, according to the fire department.

A total of 24 fire personnel battled the fire using three engines, two ladder trucks, one rescue squad, two ambulances and two chief officers. 

Crews also remained on the scene to check for an extension of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Naperville Police Department, Naperville Emergency Management Agency volunteers and inspectors from the Naperville Transportation Engineering and Development Group also assisted fire crews.

After inspection, the home was determined uninhabitable, according to the Naperville Fire Department.
