Teen Charged With Sexual Abuse of 13-Year-Old Naperville Girl: Police

Jonathan Fogelman, of Plainfield, has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual abuse and possession of child pornography.

Naperville police said they have charged a Plainfield man with possession of child pornography and criminal sexual abuse of a 13-year-old Naperville girl after a three-month investigation, according to the Daily Herald.

Jonathan Fogelman, 19, of the 13000 block of Merganser Cove in Plainfield, turned himself into the Naperville Police Department around 3 p.m. Saturday, said Naperville Police Sgt. Lou Cammiso in a press release.

After an investigation by the Naperville Youth and Social Services Investigation Unit, police charged Fogelman with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony, and one count of possession of child pornography, a Class 3 felony, police said.

According to the Daily Herald, the victim was a family friend and the family notified Naperville police of at least one case of sexual abuse in December. Will County court records indicate an offense allegedly occurred Aug. 1, 2012. 

Court records also showed the alleged child pornography crime occurred Dec. 5.

Fogelman was transported to Will County Jail and held on 10 percent of $250,000 bail, or $25,000.

A around 11 p.m. in Downers Grove led to the arrest of five individuals including Fogelman, according to police. Fogelman was charged with a misdemeanor complaint for driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of alcohol.
