Joliet Man, 62, Found Dead in Roadway

Police are investigating the death of a man found on a Joliet street early Sunday morning, according to the Will County Coroner's office.

The man, 62, was pronounced dead at 1:35 a.m. after being found in the roadway on North Center Street between Russell Street and Frank Avenue.

The name of the man, identified only as a Joliet resident, was being withheld Sunday pending notification of family, the coroner said.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday, according to the coroner's office.
