Fire Causes $400,000 in Damage to Naperville Home

No injuries were reported after crews from the Naperville Fire Department and firefighters from the surrounding area battled a house fire for 45 minutes on Tuesday night.

A fire caused significant damage to a Naperville home at 1805 Winola Court on Tuesday night, according to the .

No one was injured in the fire, which caused an estimated $400,000 in damage to the residence. Crews from Naperville, Bolingbrook and Lisle-Woodridge Fire Departments responded after Naperville’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) received a number of calls from residents reporting a fire.

A total of 25 fire personnel battled heavy smoke and fire stemming from the back of the house once crews arrived to the scene at 9:09 p.m.

Using multiple hose lines and 10 pieces of fire equipment, fire fighters were able to bring the blaze under control within 45 minutes, according to the Naperville Fire Department.

Crews also remained on the scene to check for an extension of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

, Naperville Emergency Management Agency volunteers and inspectors from the Naperville Transportation Engineering and Development Group also assisted fire crews.

After inspection, the home was determined uninhabitable. Housing arrangements were made for the displaced residents, according to the Naperville Fire Department.
