Explosive Device Set Off at Naperville Residence: Police

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information regarding a large explosive device or firework that was detonated in south Naperville last weekend.

Naperville police are looking for more information related to an arson incident involving an explosive device or large firework, which took place last weekend in south Naperville.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Sept 30 at 3:35 a.m. after someone placed and detonated a large explosive firework between the front door and storm door of a home in the 300 block of Prairie Knoll Drive, according to the Naperville Police Department.

Residents in the area reported seeing a person or persons fleeing the area west between homes.

If anyone saw the suspect or suspects, they are encouraged to call Naperville Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. All callers may remain anonymous.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the arson.
