Drivers: Keep Speed, Safety in Mind Along Ogden Avenue Tuesday

The Naperville Police Department and 12 other agencies will partner for traffic enforcement along the Ogden Avenue corridor.

Drivers along Ogden Avenue know it’s not unusual to find some motorists who push the speed limit.

Tuesday, drivers who frequent the avenue may want to take care and drive within the limit. A special traffic enforcement effort will be underway along the Ogden Avenue corridor involving 13 law enforcement agencies, including the Naperville Police Department.

The goal of the campaign is to increase motorist safety through traffic enforcement and education, according to a news release from the . Enforcement efforts will be geared toward speeding, safety belt violations as well as traffic violations.

Each law enforcement agency will have its own enforcement action plan depending on the needs of the community, the news release said.

Agencies participating include: Naperville Police Department, Aurora Police Department, Oswego Police Department, Kendall County Sheriff, Westmont Police Department, Clarendon Hills Police Department, Hinsdale Police Department, Earlville Police Department, Western Springs Police Department, Berwyn Police Department, Illinois State Police District 2, Yorkville Police Department and Chicago Police Department.
