Motorist Drives Car Into Bakers Square Entrance

Nobody was injured after the vehicle drove into the front entrance of the restaurant Tuesday afternoon.

A driver, maybe a little too eager for pie, went right through the front doors at Bakers Square on Tuesday afternoon.

A call came into 911 at 12:10 p.m. that a vehicle had driven into the restaurant at 792 S. Route 59. and officials responded to the accident and were still on the scene cleaning up the damage and talking with the driver early Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of the vehicle was in the parking lot when she drove into the business. The elderly woman and her passenger were parking in front of the entrance when she apparenlty mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, said Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell. The vehicle ended up in the building's vestibule.
