'Drano Bomb' Set Off at Naperville Residence: Police

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information regarding a homemade explosive device detonated in Naperville last week.

Naperville police are looking for more information related to an incident involving an explosive device, which was set off last week in Naperville.

The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 14 after someone placed a "Drano bomb" explosive on a front porch of a residence in the 900 block of Merrimac Circle and repeatedly rang the doorbell, according to the Naperville Police Department.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene and the bomb exploded prior to a resident answering the front door. Minimal damage was reported, police said.

If anyone saw the suspect or suspects, they are encouraged to call Naperville Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. All callers may remain anonymous.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the arson.
