Police Seeking Leads in Attempted Naperville Residential Burglary

Naperville police are seeking information regarding an attempted residential burglary, which occurred last Sunday.

The is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for an attempted residential burglary earlier this week.

According to reports, the resident of a home in the area of Rock River Court and Washington Street left his home around 6 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes Sunday, Sept. 9. When the resident returned to his home he observed a man on the rear patio of the house. When he realized he was seen, the unknown individual ran away, according to reports. He was last seen running westbound from the residence toward Washington Street.

Upon inspection the resident discovered a window screen was removed from window at the rear of the house.

The offender is described as a male, unknown race, tall and dressed in black clothing.

If anyone has information regarding the suspect, you are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest in this incident.
