Coroner: Aurora Girl, 4, Killed by Falling T.V.

The Coroner's Office is cooperating with all police and fire agencies in their on-going investigation of this incident.

The Kane County Coroner's Office has determined that the Sunday death of a 4-year-old girl was caused by a falling television.

According to a press release issued Monday, coroner's deputies were called to Presence Mercy Medical Center at around 6:43 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26 in regard to an emergency room death. The deputies were informed that the decedent was a 4-year-old female who had suffered injuries due to the family television falling on her.

Cyliyah Yarbrough, 4,  of the 1200 block of Nantucket Road, Aurora, was transported to the Kane County morgue, where an autopsy was performed Monday.

"The preliminary cause of death was determined to be cranial-cerebral injuries due to a falling television," the press release said.

The Coroner’s Office is cooperating with all police and fire agencies in their on-going investigation of this incident.
