Contractor Electrocuted at Ferry Road Job Site Saturday Afternoon

The man was conscious and alert when transported to Edward Hospital with serious injuries.

An electrical contractor received serious injuries Saturday afternoon when he was electrocuted at a job site, the Naperville Fire Department said.

Crews responded to a call at about 4:25 p.m. stating that a worker had been electrocuted at a site at Ferry Road and Corporate Lane, according to a news release issued by EMS Chief, B.C. Mark Thurow Saturday night.

When a fire engine and paramedics arrived they found an electrical contractor had received serious injuries and transported the man to Edward Hospital, the release said.

“He was conscious and alert,” when he was transported to the hospital, Thurow said by phone Saturday night.

The incident caused a power outage to the Monarch Landing Senior Living Community, which is currently using back up generators, according to Thurow. The community will continue to use generators until repairs can be made. It is unknown how long the outage will last.
