At around 4 p.m., three 11-year-old girls told police they were approached by a man driving a black SUV, when they were in the parking lot of a grocery store in the 400 block of North Farnsworth Avenue. They said the man opened the vehicle's door and told them to "come here." When they refused and began to walk away, the suspect apparently displayed a gun. At that point, the girls ran into a neighboring business and saw the vehicle drive away southbound on Farnsworth Avenue.
The suspect is described as a thin-t0-medium-built male black, possibly in his 20s, with black, medium-length braided hair; brown eyes, and dark skin. He was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and a gold watch. The SUV he was driving had silver trim along the bottom of the vehicle and dirt on the body near the tires.
