Aurora Man Charged in Dunkin Donuts Robbery

Naperville police arrested and charged a man with armed robbery Tuesday night.

A 23-year-old Aurora man was arrested Tuesday night after an armed robbery at a Dunkin Donuts, according to .

Timothy Alexander Dear, 23, of the 3800 block of Gabrielle Lane, Aurora, was arrested at about 8:30 p.m. and charged with aggravated robbery, according to police reports.

At 8:07 p.m., Naperville police responded to a call of an armed robbery at the at 602 S. Route 59. Officers were told a man had entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register, according to Naperville police.

Once Dear had been given money from the cash register, he left on foot, according to police. Naperville police located Dear after determining that he fit the description of the man who allegedly committed the robbery.

Dear was charged with aggravated robbery, a Class 1 felony, and was taken to the DuPage County Jail. WLS Chicago reported Dear left the store with roughly $200 and that he was being held on $150,000 bail.
