Viva Market is now open and offering a huge variety of produce, with a full bakery and a butcher-style meat counter.

Although the old Hometown Market has been completely revamped, Viva has maintained the mural of Dixon above the produce wall as a sort of keep sake.

My wife and I checked it out late this afternoon and were impressed. So much is new in the store and the color scheme is vibrant. When you enter the door on the right side you pass by a bakery display that is truly mouth-watering. There's also a Chinese deli, also on the right side. The store has been immediately popular! Worth the wait.

Though the store looks great but bottom line how prices fair to market or not? Some fresh produce is way too expensive, for example thai chilli costs $5.00 a lbs which is normally should be 50% less than in many popular stores.
