New Free Wellness Program for Teens launching in Naperville

Downsize For Life is a nonprofit that empowers and supports youth ages 13-18 who are currently overweight or obese in transforming their lives through fitness, nutrition and education.

WHAT:                       

Downsize For Life is launching an innovative 7-month program for youth who are currently overweight or obese. Our program will focus on four key elements: Fitness, Nutrition, Lifestyle Choices and Community.

There is NO COST for this program — that’s right, it’s FREE — but the program requires a significant time commitment after school and on weekends.

WHO:                          

Youth (13-18 years) in the Naperville areas with a desire to begin their journey to health

WHERE:                      

At our Naperville fitness facility, Downsize Fitness (1960 Springbrook Square Drive) and online

WHEN:                        

Applications are open now!

The program begins in November and runs through May

COMMITMENT:         

Attend group fitness classes at our facility 2-3 days a week for one-hour after school

Join in our live virtual fitness classes with a Downsize Fitness trainer via Google+ hangouts 2-3 times a week

Join in our fun workshops, educational sessions and field trips throughout the year
