Adopt Me! Scooter, Agnes, Louie, Daisy

Every week Naperville Patch shares information on pets waiting to be adopted at the Naperville Area Humane Society and Animals Deserving of Proper Treatment.

Louie is a 2-year-old Male Silky Terrier mix who was surrendered because of allergies in the household. He is an active and playful dog who is good with cats, dogs and kids of all ages. He will need regular grooming and would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time as he does not like to be left alone too long. Crating would be recommended. Stop by soon to meet Louie. It will be love at first sight!

Daisy is an 8-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat who came to the shelter after her owner passed away. She is a sweet, but sometimes shy girl whose favorite activities with her toys and a good meal. She might do best in a home with no other cats and kids that are at least 8 years old. A calm, cat savvy dog might also be fine with her. Daisy has been waiting for over 5 months for her forever home. Could that be with you?  Stop by soon!

Agnes

Age: 4-years-old

Breed: Female Domestic Short Hair - Gray Tabby

Background: Came to A.D.O.P.T. from Chicago Animal Control in January 2012.

Personality: Agnes is a queen size lady, but that just means there is more of her to love. Her big tummy provides more surface for the belly rubs that she loves so much and believe it or not being chubby does not prevent her from bopping around enough for a fun game of chase. She can be found lazing in the Sun Room.

Adoption Fee: $50

Other: All animals at A.D.O.P.T. are vet checked, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and are up to date on age related vaccines.

Where to find this pet: Please contact A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter at 630-355-2299. The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville. Visit us at www.adoptpetshelter.org.

Scooter

 Age: 1-2 years old

Breed: Coonhound

Background: Scooter came to A.D.O.P.T. in a shelter transfer from southern Illinois. He has been at A.D.O.P.T. since June 2012.

Personality: Scooter has become a shelter favorite. He’s a beautiful hound with a playful attitude. He has an elegant goofiness about him. He’s a big lean guy and amusing to watch run around in the play yard. Scooter is a bit exuberant and does pull on walks, but with a little obedience training he’ll be a great dog.  Scooter is aware of his size, so he could be in a home with children six years old or older.

Adoption fee: $250
