Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program - Home Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

The Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program offers tips, tools and cash rebates to customers who save natural gas in their homes and businesses, and the Naperville community is already taking advantage of the program to reduce energy use, help the environment and save money in the process.

Naperville homeowners who have taken advantage of rebates on energy-efficient equipment such as furnaces, water heaters and programmable thermostats have saved 201,085 therms of natural gas, effectively eliminating 2.2 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions in the community. That’s the equivalent of saving 112,716 million gallons of gasoline or planting 25,780 trees.

Naperville homeowners aren’t just helping the environment by saving energy, they’re also saving money. To-date, local homeowners have received $328,911 in rebate savings. And when customers choose high-efficiency equipment, they can also anticipate saving on energy costs over the lifetime of the equipment.
