Naperville Public Library Needs Volunteer Help

We're looking for Library volunteers on May 5, lots of fun projects.

Saturday, May 5 is Spring Cleaning Day at the Naperville public Library and we need your volunteer help. It’s an opportunity to give back to the community as well as earn 4 hours of volunteer time.

“We’re looking for volunteers that are in the 9th grade or older,” explains Pat Larson, the Library’s volunteer coordinator. “We’re hoping that community members will be willing to help work on Library projects. This is a wonderful opportunity to earn volunteer hours as well as make the Library more user friendly. One important project involves moving books so they’re easier to access.”

Other projects include planting flowers, dusting book shelves, and cleaning books and toys in the Children’s Departments at all 3 Library buildings.

Volunteer information is on the Library’s website, www. naperville-lib.org. “If you already are a Library volunteer, all you need to do is send me an email,” explains Pat. “If you’re new to volunteering with us, there’s a special application just for this event at http://bit.ly/IBPOUZ.” Monday, April 30 is the deadline for applying.

For more information contact Pat Larson, 630)961-4100 x2236, plarson@naperville-lib.org.
