It’s a Scheduled Computer Upgrade at Naperville Public Library!

A scheduled upgrade will take place tomorrow, Sept. 26. My Account, the Library Catalog, all our databases, the Naperville Public Library mobile app and phone renewal will not be available.

Keeping up with technology is tricky.  You want to have the best, the fastest, the most efficient program available, but that means you also have to put up with upgrades.  That’s the situation tomorrow, Sept. 26 at the Naperville Public Library.

The library already went through one upgrade in August.  This second upgrade basically completes the process.  You will be able to come into our 3 library buildings and check out materials and access databases. To do this, you’ll need to have your library card in hand or know the entire 14-digit number in order to check out materials during this time.

We’re crossing our fingers that the upgrade will go well.  In fact, we’re hoping to be up by after dinner. We think the down day will be worth it. As Francis Tong, our Information Technology Supervisor explains it, “This final stage of our upgrade will keep the system up-to-date, and provide more robust and secure services. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.  Please do contact us with any problems or concerns you have with the upgrade.”
