Warmhearted Mayor Pradel Completes Frozen Food Run for Pantry

Mayor Pradel participated in a Frozen Foods Run to collect items for families served by Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry.

On Tuesday morning, wearing sneakers to help him run faster and gloves with slip-resistant palms to help him grab products securely, Naperville Mayor A. George Pradel collected 375 pounds of frozen food valued at $774.31 for Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry.

An assortment of products families love were piled in Mayor Pradel's carts. Starting at fish, heading to turkeys, pizzas, and frozen meals, Mayor Pradel zoomed through the Jewel at 127 E. Ogden for 2:30 amid cheers from onlookers. His face registering determination, Mayor Pradel ensured he chose foods that families served by Loaves & Fishes would enjoy.

Charles McLimans, Executive Director/CEO of Loaves & Fishes, remarked how much he appreciates the Mayor's ongoing support of the organization. McLimans was on hand to cheer on the Mayor.
