Rest, Work and Play--The Trinity of Life!

Balance. Balance. Balance. We can be so much more effective in our daily lives when there is a sense of balance. See what author, Terah Kathryn Collins has to say about this!

After a very hectic week I was reminded of Feng Shui author, Terah Kathryn Collins and her book entitled, The Three Sisters of the Tao.  One of Terah's best selling books, Home Design with Feng Shui A-Z is filled with fascinating information on incorporating the elements of Feng Shui into home design. This book, however, is off the beaten path but packs just as much of a punch.

The Three Sisters of the Tao  talks about YOU and ME.  Speaking from a Realtor’s standpoint it’s the You and Me that rushes from one house to another trying to find the right fit for our buyers.  And the YOU and ME that runs home, changes hats and gets the kids off to their sports practices or music lessons.  The YOU and ME that prepares a meal for the family while negotiating a contract on the cell phone which is wedged between your ear and your shoulder.  But this lifestyle pertains to everyone in every profession who is juggling many things at one time.  We have been conditioned to multi-task.  We have not been conditioned to rest.

Our lives are usually jam packed and filled to the brim.  Especially if you are one of those people able to get the job done no matter what you have going on in your life. But Terah’s message in her book is all about balance.  She said that rest, work and play are the trinity of life!  What a statement!  I thought about the words and copied them down in my journal.  Rest and play are sometimes so far down our list of things to do that they often get lost in the course of a day, week, month or even year!  Balance.  Balance.  Balance.  I need to keep meditating on that word.  We all do. We owe it to ourselves, our families and our clients.  We can be so much more effective in our daily lives when there is a sense of balance.

Thanks Terah for your beautiful insight.  It's worth its weight in gold!

Naperville Tutoring has brought my ACT score so much higher than I had anticipated coming from 2Read More previous ACT prep classes. I feel so much more prepared after 2 weeks with Naperville Tutoring than from former months of ACT PREP practice. The 2 teachers on 1 student structure truly pushed me to work harder than ever and the work is paying off. By exposing me to so many different kinds of problems and giving me new tips and tricks, I know I ready for test day, June 8, 2013.
