Frigid Cold to Hit This Week; Snow Possible NYE Night

Between two to four inches is possible on New Year's Eve night.

The New Year's Eve holiday will be frigid as temperatures are expected to drop this week. 

There will be a high of 13 degrees on Monday and wind chill values are expected to reach a low of -10 degrees. There is a 70 percent chance of snow tonight with less than a half-inch of snow is possible. 

During the day on New Year's Eve there is a 40 percent chance of snow mainly after 4 p.m. There will be a high of 17 degrees with wind chill values of -5 degrees.  West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph. 

Snow is likely New Year's Eve night — mainly after 7 p.m. with 2 to 4 inches possible. There will be a low around 12.

It will be cloudy with a high near 23 on New Year's Day. Snow is likely.
