Along with last month's inaugural Naperville Marathon as well as all of the great trails and parks in the city, Naperville residents have one more reason to lace up their running shoes.
Competitor Magazine has listed Naperville Running Company, 34 W. Jefferson Ave., among the top running stores in the country for 2013.
The downtown Naperville store was featured in the magazine's 2013 "Very Best Running Stores in America" and ranked among the top 50 running stores in the country.
Competitor Magazine ranks running stores based on "rigorous evaluation process, which includes runner nominations, mystery shopping to assess customer service, credit ratings from vendors, and assessments about local programs and community commitment," according to the magazine.
Naperville Running Company was praised for its "excellent customer service" as well as the store's unique indoor two-lane inlaid rubber track.
Three other stores were listed alongside Naperville Running Company including Sole Sports Running Zone in Arizona, Rush Running Company in Arkansas and Red Coyote Running and Fitness in Oklahoma.
