Community Coalition Program to Tackle Substance Abuse Prevention

The purpose of the presentation is to increase awareness of the current heroin, alcohol and controlled substance use, and provide resources for students at risk for addictive substance abuse behaviors.

A program focusing on the prevention of substance abuse and helping students make healthy choices will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, at Lisle Village Hall, 925 Burlington, Lisle.

The discussion is being presented by a community coalition made up of members from , , , , , , and Lisle Teens With Character.

The purpose of the upcoming presentation is to help Lisle parents promote positive choices, increase awareness of the current heroin, alcohol and controlled substance use among area teens, and provide resources for students at risk for addictive substance abuse behaviors.

The community coalition was formed to increase awareness and reinforce the positive lifestyles the huge majority of teenagers engage in and to offer support and assistance to those who are not making healthy choices in regards to substance abuse.
