Park District Seeks Holiday Volunteers

Volunteers from middle school age through adult are invited to attend the 2011 Holiday Volunteer Open House and Sign Up Night on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

The event will take place at Huntington Learning Center, located at 924 W. 75th Street, Suite 112, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Prospective volunteers are welcome to come at any time during the 2-hour timeframe, however, sign-ups for specific times and dates to volunteer at Santa House and other activities will occur on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Volunteering at our festive holiday events in December is a wonderful way to experience the joy of the season,” said Park District Volunteer Coordinator Lynnette Hoole. “It’s something families and friends can do together, and it’s also a way of making new friends,” Hoole added.
