More than 1,000 Nicor Gas employees, family members, and friends are expected to take part in the company’s 15th Annual Volunteer Day on Saturday, May 21.  Volunteers of all ages will be contributing to 23 philanthropic projects in 20 communities throughout northern Illinois, participating in activities ranging from outdoor landscape beautification to sorting donations at local food pantries. There will be three events in Naperville.

  • Naperville volunteers will participate in planting and outdoor beautification activities at The Conservation Foundation in DuPage County.  Participants will meet at 10S404 Knoch Knolls Road.
  • Volunteers and their young children will have the opportunity to clean exhibits at the DuPage Children’s Museum, located at 301 N. Washington Street in Naperville.
  • Volunteers will be sorting food collected during recent community drives at Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry at 1871 High Grove Lane in Naperville.

Community members are invited and encouraged to participate as Nicor proudly celebrates its 15-year tradition of helping to build stronger communities through volunteerism.  Nicor community organizers are available at 630-388-2850 to pair interested volunteers with the nearest project sites in need of help.

Nicor and its employees are proud to share time, talent, and financial resources to  benefit more than 1,200 charitable organizations in Illinois throughout the year.
