Naperville Sunrise Rotary Coat Drive

Annual Rotary Sunrise Winter Clothing Drive Begins!

The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise announces the start of its annual clothing drive to benefit those in need of warm winter clothing. Rotary volunteers are placing boxes in the community to receive donations of coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and mittens. All sizes, infant through adult, are accepted, although the need is great for men's and women's size XL, 2XL and 3XL. The annual coat drive kicks off on Friday, October 1 and runs through Friday, November 19.

"The mission of Rotary is "Service Above Self" and we are proud to be a partner with Hesed House, DuPage PADS, Sharing Connections,  Naperville Consolidated Unit School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204 in delivering warm clothing to those in our area who are in need in the upcoming winter season.  The Naperville community has always been very generous and we look forward to another successful Winter Clothing Drive," said Trevor Morgan, Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise President.

This year, in collaboration with the Downtown Naperville Alliance, select downtown businesses will place collection boxes thru November 30.  By partnering with Sunrise Rotary, the Downtown Naperville Alliance makes it easy for residents to donate slightly used winter clothing while downtown shopping for the holidays.  For a list of Downtown Naperville Alliance businesses participating by placing collection boxes, visit www.downtownnaperville.com.

Nearly 75 collection boxes have been placed in the community, including Naperville Municipal Center, Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, State Representative Darlene Senger's Office at 125 Water Street, The Kroehler, Fry and Sports Complex YMCA's, Fair Oaks Ford, Casey's Fine Foods, White Eagle Golf Club and Naperville District 203 Administrative Offices.
