Naperville Area Humane Society Announces New Year, New Home Adoption Promotion

Naperville Area Humane Society (NAHS) rolls out its first adoption promotion of 2011:  New Year, New Home. During this highly-anticipated promotion, the adoption fees for all animals have been significantly reduced.

“2010 was a difficult year in many respects, and the shelter world is no exception,” said Angie Wood, executive director at NAHS. “Many animals who would have found homes in just a few short weeks in previous years have been waiting months instead. If you’ve been thinking of adopting a pet, now’s the time. Celebrate 2011 and all its possibilities by adopting one of our deserving cats or dogs. It’s a great way to start the year.”

The New Year, New Home adoption promotion runs from January 13 through January 24, 2011. The promotional adoption fees are: adult cats $25, kittens $100, adult dogs $100, and puppies $150. At NAHS, all animals have received an initial vet exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, and a microchip. Cats are FeLV/FIV negative, and dogs have been tested for heartworm disease. All animals are spayed or neutered before going into their new homes.
