Great Steps for NF

The Naperville Great Steps for NF walk is the biggest walk in the country to benefit families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF).  This is our 12th year at the Naperville Riverwalk Grand Pavilion, and we are still going strong- raising funds and awareness.  Please join NF Midwest in this fun, energetic event.  Enjoy the leisurely stroll along the Riverwalk, food, raffles and entertainment.  We are looking for individuals and teams to walk, volunteers for before and during the event, and local sponsors.  Contact us to register or for more information.  Prices are $20 for adults, $12 for kids 4-10, 3 and under are free.  Raise $100 or more to get a free Great Steps t-shirt and your registration fee waived.

Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a progressive genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on the nerves anywhere in the body.  It affects nearly 1 in 2,500 people of all races and both sexes.  Symptoms include (but are not limited to) learning disabilities, scoliosis, depression, bone deformities,  disfigurement, hearing loss and blindness.
