As Naperville strives to be a diverse community embracing all present and future residents the city has enacted a fair housing ordinance. The Fair Housing Advisory Commission (FHAC) plays an important role in discouraging illegal and unethical housing practices by promoting and encouraging fair housing to all.
It is the objective of the FHAC to ensure all people have a fair and equal opportunity to purchase, own, lease or occupy housing within the City of Naperville without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, familial status, physical or mental handicap or disability, military status, sexual orientation or legal source of income. Consisting of nine members, the FHAC meetings are held the first Monday of each month. Dates are subject to change
