Robert Crown Center to Host Body Trek Summer Camp

A unique summer camp is available to Naperville area students who are interested in taking a journey through the human body.

The Robert Crown Center for Health Education will offer Body Trek, a two-week science camp designed to give students in sixth through eighth grade an in-depth exploration of the human body and an overview of health and science careers. For the first time, Body Trekkers will attend sessions on the campus of North Central College. Campers visit hospital operating rooms and learn through dissecting animal organs, including the brain, eye, heart and lungs.

Body Trek is led by RCC educator David Bedney, M.P.H., M.D., and other health professionals. Body Trek camp is offered from 12:30 to 4 p.m. weekdays, July 14-24. Tuition is $375 per camper. Program information and registration is available at www.robertcrown.org/summercamps.shtml, or by calling (630) 325-1900.
