As a performer, songwriter and producer for nearly three decades, Richard Marx has sold more than 30 million albums. The Chicago native is the first male solo artist in history to have his first seven singles reach the top five on Billboard’s singles chart, including such hits as “Hold On to the Nights,” “Satisfied” and the worldwide classic, “Right Here Waiting.” Marx has collected numerous Grammy nominations, released four multi-platinum albums and written 13 No. 1 songs. He remained a fixture on pop and adult contemporary radio for years, even as he emerged as a top producer working with some of the biggest names, including *NSYNC, Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Vince Gill, 98°, Luther Vandross, Kenny Rogers, Sarah Brightman and others. Marx remains active as a live performer with an ongoing solo acoustic tour that’s taken him around the United States, China, Russia and Europe.
