Lift Every Voice: District 204 African American History Month Program

The district’s three high school BSA organizations in collaboration with PATHS is proud to present Lift Every Voice and Sing, a program in recognition and in celebration of African American History Month.  The program will feature talent from all three of the high schools, showcasing the amazing gifts from Metea, Neuqua and Waubonsie. Ultimately all of the groups and guests will have the chance to come together and to lift their voices in celebrating the triumphs experienced in the American story through the African American voice.

The program will showcase spoken word performances, stepping, performance art and dance.  In between acts, guests will play trivia on African American history and will have a chance to win some prizes! The program will also feature a message from Clarence Welton entitled “Why this? Why Now?”

The program will provide a full experience by offering shopping along with various food vendors to accompany the entertainment.
