Illinois State Genealogical Society Fall Conference
The Illinois State Genealogical Society’s (ISGS) 2013 Fall Conference will be held on October 25 and 26 in Sandwich, Illinois, at the Timber Creek Inn & Suites and Convention Center. Friday hours are from 1pm-4 pm, Saturday from 9am - 4pm.
This year’s theme is The Way They Were. A variety of presenters will offer lectures to assist attendees in identifying the “they” in genealogical research. In addition, a focus on “were” will explore the importance of capturing family stories and ancestor anecdotes to round out a family’s history.
In addition, a number of vendors and genealogical societies will be available to offer suggestions and aids regarding researching your family’s history. New and experienced researchers will appreciate having a gathering of experts from around the country in nearby Sandwich at this year’s conference.
