Women Living Dangerously: The Aviator, The Agitator And The Artist

Hear about the true-life stories of three remarkable women: Amelia Earhart, Mother Jones and Alma Rose. Amelia Earhart, performed by Mary Gausselin, was a dreamer and a risk taker who used hard work and determination to reach her goals and ignored danger. Mother Jones, performed by Jeanmarie Dwyer-Wrigley, who spoke out for humane working conditions for miners and abolishment of child labor, used danger to fight for the rights of workers. Alma Rose, performed by Mary Hobein, conducted a women prisoners orchestra at Auschwitz and transcended danger by giving hope to her musicians and keeping them alive. This program is partially funded by a grant from the City of Naperville.
