SugarToad puts a Modern Twist on the Traditional for Thanksgiving 2012

Naperville, Illinois—SugarToad’s Thanksgiving celebration will combine favorite traditional flavors with a modern twist with their new three and four-course special menu on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, 11AM-7PM.

Guests will first have their choice of a roasted butternut squash soup with chestnut foam; young lettuce salad with warm fall vegetables, aged sherry vinaigrette, olive oil cracker.

The second course will offer the choices of organic chicken and duck terrine with pistachios, dried cranberries and cranberry jam; pumpkin ravioli with acorn squash, cocoa nib, parmesan cream and warm brown butter vinaigrette; grilled sea of cortez wild shrimp with spiced shrimp broth, mustard greens; baked oysters a la greque with tomato, caper, garlic, smoked paprika, feta.  

For the third course, guests will be able to choose oven roasted Pennsylvania turkey breast with sage and chestnut stuffing, grilled green beans, oven roasted sweet potatoes with maple sugar and giblet pan gravy; braised organic Indiana rabbit Ragoût with pappardelle pasta, wild mushrooms, fall vegetables and herbed hand-dipped raw milk ricotta; slow roasted herb crusted-prime rib of beef with smashed yukon potato, olive oil braised carrots, natural jus; pan-roasted organic Scottish salmon with white bean-artichoke barigoule, lemon-thyme broth.

Guests will conclude their meal with one of these delectable desserts either pumpkin Crème Brûlée with sweet spice syrup; bittersweet chocolate torte with cranberry ice cream; warm French brown sugar butter cake with seckle pear, maple ice cream; classic pumpkin pie with vanilla whipped cream.

Phil Vettel in The Chicago Tribune’s “The Stew” named SugarToad as one of top restaurants to go to on Thanksgiving in 2010 and 2011.

SugarToad will serve Thanksgiving dinner Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 from 11AM to 7PM. The three-course meal is 45 dollars, while the four-course meal is 55 dollars. Because of the popularity of this meal, space is limited. Reservations may be made by calling 630-778-8623.
