Homeowners to Shed Light on Common Core Standards


What are Common Core Standards and how will these impact our schools and our tax bills?


Newly developed and approved standards, adopted by nearly every state, will require a new way to measure student performance—and new instructional methods and techniques may be needed to ensure students can make the grade.

The Naperville Area Homeowners Confederation has invited representatives of School Districts 203 and 204 to the City Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center on Thursday, January 24, at 7 PM to introduce Common Core Standards to the community and answer questions about what this might mean to all of us.


Whether a parent with school age children, or a taxpayer who will be “receiving the bill,” this is information we all need to hear along with an opportunity to ask questions early in the implementation.

Join the Confederation on Jan. 24. If you cannot be there in person, the event will be telecast on the City of Naperville Government Access Channel, WCNC (6-WOW, 10-Comcast, 99 – AT&T).
