Cruisin' for a Cause

Buy Local Naperville is honored to present “Cruisin’ for a
Cause”, which will be held on Saturday, September 7th from 3:00 to
7:00 p.m.to benefit Naperville CARES and Loaves & Fishes.



“We at Buy Local Naperville could not think of a better way
to launch our organization to the community than raising awareness for both of
these fine organizations,” said Jim Peters, Chairman of BLN, “And tying that in
with the need to support the local businesses who are entrenched in giving of
their time and monies to community-based charitable organizations.”



Two hundred cars will fill Cress Creek Square – Braconi’s,
796 Royal St. George, Naperville, for “Cruisin’ for a Cause”.  Automotive enthusiasts are invited to come
out and enjoy a day of classic cars, live entertainment from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30
p.m. provided by Dan Peters and the West Sidewinders (the 2011 Opening Act for
Bon Jovi), raffle items, great food, and kid-friendly activities. Danielle
Tufano and the “River Road Crew” from 95.9 FM The River will also be
broadcasting live. Show hours are from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Spectator entry is free.

Cars from 1920 to 1990 are welcome. The first 200 interested
show participants can register at the door from noon to 2:30 p.m. with a $10
entrance fee. The top three best in show cars will receive a $100 gas card
giveaway. There will also be a $50 gas card raffle every hour.



“We are delighted that Buy Local has chosen Naperville CARES
and Loaves and Fishes to be the beneficiaries of the first ever Cruisin’ for a
Cause event and we support their efforts to encourage people to patronize local
businesses,” said Naperville CARES Executive Director Janet Derrick, “We are
grateful for the local business community because they donate their time,
talent and treasure in support of our organization.”
