Stormy Weather Possible This Afternoon

Temperatures are expected to drop later this afternoon as a front moves into the area bringing thunderstorms along, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms are possible around the area, with the chance of storms most likely mid-afternoon. The cold front moving into the area may trigger the storms. Though it is possible the front will weaken by the time it arrives, according to the weather service.

Lightning, hail and excessive winds are possible with the storms. The chance of showers and thunderstorms in the area is 50 percent and a high temperature of 88 is forecasted for today.
