National Weather Service: Naperville Could Get Six Inches of Snow

A winter storm watch is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

Snow that covered Naperville last week has been melting quickly thanks to warmer temperatures Sunday and Monday, but residents may have to bring out the shovels again tomorrow. 

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for areas of DuPage and Will counties, including Naperville, effective Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

Snow — possibly mixed with sleet — is expected to begin Tuesday morning, continuing into the afternoon and tapering to lighter snow Tuesday evening. Snowfall may be heavy at times throughout the day Tuesday, according to the NWS.

Wind gusts may reach 35 mph on Tuesday in Naperville and snow accumulation over six inches is possible, according to the NWS.

Snow is expected to be heavy at times, resulting in difficulty shoveling.
