False Alarm Triggers Brief Evacuation at DuPage Children's Museum

Naperville Fire Department said a fire alarm was pulled Friday at the DuPage Children's Museum in Naperville.

DuPage Children's Museum was briefly evacuated Friday after a fire alarm was triggered.

The evacuation took place around noon when a child pulled a fire alarm inside the museum, Naperville Fire Department Bureau Chief Mark Thurow said in an email.

"There was no fire or other reason to activate the alarm and there were no injuries or damage related to the call," Thurow said in the email.

Children and visitors were able to safely enter the museum within 10 minutes after the fire department arrived to the scene, according to a witness.
