Greek Yogurt

This tangy treat is marvelous for snacking on a diet. It is high on the satiety index, meaning you feel fuller with each spoonful of Greek yogurt than you would with each spoonful of vegetable broth. Because of this, snacking on Greek yogurt will actually help you cut down on your meal portions, filling you up instead with its creamy goodness. That creamy goodness is a rich source of protein and calcium, helping you builds strong muscles and bones. Natural Greek yogurt also contains 0 percent fat and 0 percent cholesterol, making it a totally guilt-free food. What’s more, it is flexible enough to be eaten in a wide variety of ways, so you will never get bored with it.

Almonds

While it is true that almonds are rich in fats, these fats are actually quite good for you. Almonds contain monounsaturated fats, which, in a nutshell, are much easier for your body to metabolize into energy. This energy can fuel the activities you do to burn the nasty saturated fats in your body, or to help clear your arteries. Almonds also contain a lot of fiber, which not only makes you feel full without really staying in your system, but it also helps keep your intestines clean.

Natural Popcorn

Popcorn, when not drizzled in butter or other such flavorings, is actually a very diet-friendly snack. It is rich in fiber, so you feel full on substances that will eventually leave your body. It is very lightweight, so you can eat for longer and hold off the hunger pangs until your next proper meal. It is also surprisingly low in fat, because a cup of popcorn contains just 0.5 g of fat. To make your popcorn even more diet friendly, air-pop it to avoid oil entirely.

Dark Chocolate

As a dieter, there comes a point in your life when you miss the treats you used to enjoy; chief among them is usually chocolate. Thankfully, it is not something you have to avoid altogether if you are trying to lose weight. If you absolutely must have some chocolate, reach for the dark variety. Its rich, intense flavors will make you feel more satisfied, pound for pound, than conventional chocolates. It is also quite rich in antioxidants, which fight off cell-damaging free radicals that could cause cancer in the long run.
