Bears Offense Too Much for Minnesota

The benching of key players on both sides of the ball has Bears stepping up in points offensively and sacks defensively with their Victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

This game will be about "Da Bears" defense VS a Vikings run game.  You stop Adrian Peterson, and then you have a better chance of winning with a Chicago Front Line on offense.  Jay Cutler showed his toughness last week playing an excellent game at the QB position.  Let’s Go Bears!

1st Quarter
Chicago, with 36 seconds expired in the game, calls a timeout.  Now either you can say they are not taking any chances about winning this game or things are not going well.  Well, Chicago brings the “Bear Down” on the Vikings, causing them to go 3 and out and allowing a newly formed Offensive line onto the field.

This first possession for the "Da Bears" is a good one.  The pocket holds for Jay Cuter and they score with only 3 plays into the game.  A 48yrd TD for Devin Hester, who looked like a number one receiver, off of a fantastic Play Action Pass.  Before that took place, we had an athletic Roy Williams catching a pass.  It's looking good for the Bears.

"Da Bears" are tough defensively against the Minnesota Vikings with another 3 and out.  Chicago is moving the ball with their second possession, but couldn’t advance or score, having to punt the ball.  However, we gain two points defensively via a "Bear Down" sack in the endzone.  The Bears defense are redefining themselves before their London Trip next week.

Roy Williams gains a second catch in this contest and puts Chicago in Field Goal range.  Cutler is really chucking the ball in the air with confidence and a bit of accuracy.  Matt Forte is maintaining the running game and puts Chicago back in the Red Zone with a nice scramble (Pay Da Man!!!).  Barber runs the ball in for a TD with ease.  The offensive line of the Bears are taking this game personal and playing FANTASTIC.

Minnesota 0    Chicago 16

2nd Quarter

Minnesota is moving the ball after facing some tough defense from Chicago, finding themselves in field goal range during this possession.  Chicago seems relaxed a bit defensively, but they really zero-in, when close to the Red Zone of the opposing team.  Minnesota, against the Bears defense, gains only 3 points via a field goal.  Bear Down!!!!

"Da Bears" are returning on offense and starting with bad field position.  It's amazing to see Chicago not panicking.  Matt Forte is a key figure with helping Chicago move out of bad field position (Pay Da Man!).  Speaking of being paid, the offensive line is earning every penny keeping the Vikings at bay.  Nice work!  Hey, NO POINTS, but playing well…Minnesota's ball.

Da Bears are illustrating the meaning of "Bear Down" on Minnesota with no advancement or score; a change from this past Monday’s game.  Da Bears are back on offense and Devin Hester is playing like a number one receiver for this team.  Hester is acquiring nice yards after a difficult catch. One of my favorite players, Dane Sanzenbacher, gets another TD for the Bears and an athletic one at that.  He is leading the Bears with receiving Touchdowns.

Moreover, Minnesota's passing game is going well at the moment.  For Adrian Peterson, the Bears "D" is not allowing a Sunday Showcase of his talent, forcing the Vikings to the air for offensive movement.  I'm not sure why Chicago let teams rack up so many yards with containment; nonetheless, Da Bears hold the line in the red zone...at times.  Minnesota misses a field goal attempt after the Bears slowed down their offensive momentum.

Moves the ball fluidly again, Chicago gains 3 more points with a field goal.  Minnesota's defense is pretty tough, but Da Bears has gained 264 net yards for the 1st half.  This is still the NFL and you cannot go by a teams win-loss total.

Vikings 3    Bears 26

Halftime

3rd Quarter
Chicago is moving the ball, but then again, Jay Cutler is a bit too confident by holding the ball too long, presenting a sack for Minnesota and then a turnover via a fumble.  The Vikings are trying their best to get back into this game & Chicago's defense is playing off synch a bit.  Adrian Peterson finds a hole and runs the ball in for a touchdown off of Chicago’s turnover.

What more can Devin Hester do on this night?  He just might get a coach fired, or demoralize a team that just scored off a Bears turnover.  Devin gets the NAPERVILLE PATCH SPORTS AWARD OF THE WEEK, if Mary comes up with one...*grinning* [Sure DeLarren. The Editor, Mary Ann]

More blogging, although the Bears are blowing out the Vikings, because Julius Peppers has a SACK on McNabb!  With another additional sack by the Bears, Minnesota has to punt and Devin Hester is licking his chops again at the prospect of another TD return.  It almost took place and he knew it by slamming the ball down after running out of bounds.  Chicago comes up with another field goal.  GO BEARS!!!

Julius Peppers comes up with another sack on a bad knee. Amobi Okoye compliments Peppers by sacking the Vikings QB for two sacks in a row.  These defensive plays have caused Donnovan's mother leave the game...she has had enough and this game is far from over.  It also looks as if the Vikings have had enough by not wanting to kick to Devin Hester; punting badly and putting Chicago in a great field position.

Vikings 10    Bears 36

4th Quarter
The Bears start off with a field goal & more points on the board.  Chicago is really sending out a message to the league because they picked “Da Bears” to lose this game.  Chicago has sent McNabb to the bench and the Vikings have brought in Christian Ponder.  The white flag is up and it’s not coming from the Bears bench.  Bears win!

Vikings 10    Bears 39
