Naperville North Football Is First School To Be Featured On New Comcast Program
CN100, The Comcast Network, selected Naperville North High School for a new, behind-the-scenes show focused on the football program.
CN100, The Comcast Network, is proud to announce Naperville North High School as the first school to be featured on in all new, behind-the-scenes look at Chicago area prep football.
All In, which debuts Sept. 6 on CN100, goes far beyond the field to give viewers a glimpse into what makes a top-tier high school football program. While going deep to learn more about the student-athletes and coaches, All In will also explore the alumni and community support the Huskies receive.
“Naperville North is incredibly proud of the success our football program has enjoyed over the past few decades in terms of wins and championships, but more importantly in the way it has shaped the lives of thousands of young men,” Naperville North Athletic Director Jim Konrad said. “We are excited to be working with a professional organization like Comcast to highlight all the positive aspects of this program and the impact it has on our students, school and community.”

Naperville North was chosen by Comcast producers who sought to highlight a program with a winning tradition and widespread support from a dedicated fan base. The producers also considered storylines for 2012, including natural rivalries – such as the one North has with Naperville Central – and strength of competition. The Huskies play in the DuPage Valley Conference, a perennial powerhouse in the Chicago suburbs.
“It undoubtedly qualifies as a top program. It's been quite successful and historically significant with a true IHSA legend in hall-of-fame coach Larry McKeon as its architect,” field director and co-producer Erik Anschicks said. “Most crucial for us, Naperville North has two forward-thinking minds in charge of the program, head coach Sean Drendel and Athletic Director Jim Konrad, who are more than willing to embrace different ideas. They have approached the project with gusto from day one.”

All In benefits from the enthusiasm building on campus. CN100 cameras will have unprecedented access to the side of high school football you don't see, and will feature in-depth interviews with key members of the program and Naperville North community. The show is also bolstered by insights from local prep football experts and those who know Naperville, the community, best.
“Viewers should get a taste of what it's like to be part of a high school football team. We'll take them through the preseason, practice, games and everything else that goes on during the season,” host and co-producer Mark Krueger explained. “What's really cool is that we don't know what's going to happen next. We're just along for the ride.”
Executive Producer Richard Foresman added that this type of community focused program goes far beyond just a showcase of a “great school and football program.”
“The interaction between the school, the city and the residents is a vital aspect of a healthy community, and it is alive and well in Naperville,” Foresman, who also is CN100's Chicago area programming manager, said. “As a corporate citizen, Comcast also values the close interaction and partnership we have with our communities. This program exemplifies the relationship and cooperation that we have with Naperville.”
